Someday when the Artifacts of Modernity Online Museum releases a list of the most important/significant phrases of the post-postmodern era, “You just got punk’d” will surely make the top ten for everything that it’s already implied and given us for the last decade or so.
But “you just got punk’d” is about to take on a whole new even more frustratingly ironic meaning, as the “classic” MTV tv show starring Ashton Kutcher as America’s favorite celebrity prankster is about to get an amazing new face lift… while Ashton will still be producer, his days as host are over.
It’s time to usher in a new Punk’d era… with your new host, JUSTIN BIEBER.
